- Add pages with content
- Hand out pages
- Make the activity visible
1. Add pages with content
Start by creating the activity and adding pages with the content students will work with. What you add is only visible to the teacher until you hand it out.
Add:
- New sheet: Add landscape or portrait sheets. Blank, lined, or grid with different line/grid spacing.
- From device: Upload files such as images, PDFs, videos, documents, etc. If you are working on iPads, you can add images directly from the camera.
- Audio recording: Record audio, perfect for reading practice and oral assignments.
- Link: Add a link to external websites, videos, or online resources.
2. Hand out pages
Press Hand out. Select which pages you want to hand out and which students should receive the pages you want to hand out. For each individual page you hand out, you can choose which students should receive the page. All, one, or several students.
Note: A page can only be handed out to each student in the class once. If you want to hand out the same page multiple times, you must duplicate the page before handing out the duplicated page.
Hand out pages from apps
If the organization has connected third-party apps to GO, you will be able to hand out pages from apps in an activity. Select Hand out from apps. Choose the content and follow the setup. When the setup is complete, the page from the app will be handed out to the students.
With the Microsoft 365 app, you can, for example, add:
- Teams assignments (without using Teams).
- Assignments with learning accelerators (Reading progress, Math progress, etc.).
- Assignments with Office documents and learning activities.
3. Make the activity visible
Even if you have handed out content, students and/or guardians will not see the content if access to the activity is hidden.
For the content to become visible, access to the activity must be set to read-only or active. Read-only means students (and/or parents) can view the content, active means students (and/or parents) can make changes.
Note: Depending on the type of app content added, students will be able to actively interact with the app content even if access to the activity is set to read-only.
