Basis
The information in Basis is automatically synced from your school’s administrative system. Adding or removing students, teachers, and/or guardians in groups must therefore be done in the school's administrative system. In Basis you get an overview of your school(s) and the groups you have access to, and are able to edit settings for class groups.
Settings for class groups
(Can also be done from the Class tool)
- Change class name
- Change the class profile picture
- Link relevant subjects to the class
- Set default assessment type for Activities and Status
- Add students and teachers
Hide/Show class groups
Class groups can be hidden so that they are not visible to users. Note that the class group is hidden for all users associated with the class, not just for the person who hides the class group. From Basis, you can show classes that are hidden.
You can hide and show class groups by clicking on the three dots to the right of the class group in Basis, and selecting Hide class or Show class. Hide or show multiple classes at once by selecting the classes and choosing Hide or Show from the -Select action- menu above.
Create new class
Independent of what is synced from the school's administrative system (SAS), you can create your own classes/groups. These classes must be maintained in the solution by adding and removing members manually. If a student is no longer part of the synchronization, for example due to a school transfer, the student will automatically be removed from the groups that are also created in GO.
Add administrator and manager
An administrator can add new administrators and managers to the organization. A manager can add new managers.
