Language, Name display format and Start page

Administrator can configure various options for their organization or school(s). Note that the settings for language and start page will apply to the entire organization, but not override personal settings.

Invite users

Administrators can always add external users in basis. External users are users who come from sources other than synchronization with the school's administrative system.

If a switch is turned on, teachers can add external users with defined roles per switch.

Immersive Reader

By activating Immersive Reader, you get the functionality integrated into Skooler GO and only pay for usage directly to Microsoft. Cost is by usage, with 3 million free characters per month, after which it costs approximately 50 NOK per million characters. Prices retrieved from Microsoft January 2026.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Allow the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and teachers get access to limited AI suggestions in the status tool, and students and teachers get unlimited use of AI to generate words and phrases in Hangman in the Toolkit.

AI usage through Skooler GO's AI subscription is processed within Europe and the data is stored in Sweden. The information processed are not linked to a person or user, and are not used to train or improve AI or machine-learning models. To prevent misuse, Microsoft Azure stores data temporarily for up to 30 days before deleting it.

Set up AI subscription
For unlimited AI use and access to AI bots in GO, the organization must enter keys from its own AI subscription from a selection of supported services. By using its own AI subscription, the organization gains control over settings related to data, usage, security, and costs.

Follow the tutorial for the desired service (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI) and fill in the required fields to set up an AI subscription.
