ILP Content

The Individual learning plan (ILP) is often used in connection with parent-teacher conferences and is a key part of effective collaboration between school and home. With pre-made ILP templates, it becomes easy for teachers to document student progress, while both students and guardians get a clear view of the path forward.

Start date of the period

The title indicates the start date of the ILP period. There is always one active and ongoing ILP period. The end date of the period is automatically set when you make the ILP visible.

Visibility for student and parents

Use the switch to choose whether the ILP should be visible to students and parents. If the ILP has already been made visible, you can hide it again to make changes. To make those changes available to students and parents, you must make the ILP visible once more. Doing so updates the period’s end date and resets the indication of whether the ILP has been viewed by the student or parent.

Seen by

Seen by indicates whether the student or parents have opened the ILP after it was made visible. This is also indicated by a green eye icon in the student list.

Status

Under Status, all assessments from activities and reviews are collected and organized by subject within the time period covered by the ILP.

ILP template

This area contains text fields designed by a manager or administrator. The text fields can only be edited while the ILP is not visible.

Change ILP template
If you want to change the ILP template, you can do so for an individual student by clicking Change Template in the upper-right corner of the ILP. To change the template for an entire group or multiple students at once, go to the ILP home page, click Mark above the student list, and choose all or the desired students. Then select the Change Template action and choose the template you want to use. Templates can only be changed for ILPs that have not been made visible.

Files

When the ILP is made visible, a PDF document containing the entire ILP is automatically generated. By clicking the icon in the lower-right corner, you can generate and preview the PDF before making the ILP visible. Teachers can also upload their own documents and files, but this must be done before the ILP is made visible.
